The journey toward WSOP is yet to actually start.Part of my problem is work (I love my job, but it’s getting in the way of my other interests). As a result I haven’t played much poker online and none at all live.Last year I bought an iPod Nanoand was using that to keep me company while I drove (I spend quite a bit of time on the road for work), which was nice but I was getting a bit burnt out on my music. Then I started checking iTunes for podcasts and found the Rounder’s Radio podcasts. The one that I subscribe to gets me a variety of shows that they broadcast. There are several of them that I enjoy (and I am not going into them right now), but one of the nicest things that finding this has brought is the forums they have available on their site.

I have found a fair amount of very good information that can be used to enhance your game on these forums. So while I haven’t been able to play much, I have been able to get some advice and to be able to contribute some advice of my own.

Well it’s been a little bit since I posted my last entry so I thought I would try and update it here.

Well I haven’t had a chance to try the super satellites at turtle creek yet (actually I am not sure they have started them yet for the year). And as far as I can tell they haven’t started them on either of the online sites either. So needless to say I haven’t accomplished anything on this front just yet, then again I haven’t lost any ground either.

Realistically I haven’t played more than a few dozen hands of cards since the beginning of the year; I just haven’t really had the time.I am trying to schedule things in my life so that I can make time to play, but my biggest problem so far has been getting around some work issues.

I am hoping to play some this weekend online, but I need to either add some cash to my accounts or find a freeroll that pays actual cash.

There are many poker blogs out there.Of those that are available, many will tell you how to play certain hands or which hands to play at what times.Others will tell you how they played hands in a game (either online or live) and what they think they did (either right or wrong) that caused them to wither win or lose the hand. There are also those that will review the play of others and give some kind of analysis on it.

This isn’t really any of those, what I plan to present here is the path that I will follow to hopefully get a shot at playing in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. At this point I plan to attempt both online and live satellites to gain that seat.

Most if not all of the live satellites will be played at a local Indian casino (Turtle Creek). At this point I am considering most of the online satellites will be played at Full Tilt or PokerStars. It’s possible that I might try one at another site if I hear of one that sounds doable.

I will occasionally comment on things happening in the poker world but that won’t be the primary focus of this blog. While I will talk about the various satellites that I play, I don’t plan to go into great detail about the hands. Most of my reason for this is pretty simple.I don’t have the kind of memory recall that will allow me to remember the live ones hours later as I write the entry.

It’s possible I may ask for comments on the type of play that I post, but I realistically don’t expect anything useful since you won’t be getting accurate information about the game/hand/situation.

I will begin posting soon (most likely within a week) and I will attempt to post on something like a regular schedule, but of course life has a way of getting in the way of what we want at times. So it’s possible that I won’t be able to play some of the events that I would like to, when I would like to.
